Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Time2Pray mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. About Time2Pray

Time2Pray is a mobile application that provides Islamic prayer times, nearby mosque discovery, iqamah times, Qibla direction, and Islamic calendar information. The App is distributed through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. Account creation requires you to be at least 18 years old or have parental consent.

3. Account Registration

Account creation is optional and only required for mosque representative features. If you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Keep your password confidential
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

4. Mosque Representative Program

Verified mosque representatives ("Authorities") may submit and update iqamah (congregational prayer) times for their registered mosque. By participating, you agree to:

• Only submit accurate, current iqamah times for the mosque you represent
• Only register as a representative for a mosque where you hold an official role (imam, secretary, administrator, etc.)
• Promptly update times when they change, or confirm they remain accurate when prompted
• Not impersonate mosque staff or submit false verification documentation

Violation of these obligations may result in removal of authority status and account suspension.

5. Accuracy Disclaimer

Prayer times in Time2Pray are calculated using established Islamic astronomical methods (via the Aladhan API) and may differ slightly from times announced by your local mosque due to local observation practices, methodological differences, or DST transitions. Always confirm with your local mosque for binding prayer times.

Iqamah times are provided by volunteer mosque representatives and are not independently verified by Time2Pray. We are not responsible for inaccurate iqamah times submitted by third parties.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate any person, mosque, or organization
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its servers
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App's APIs without written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the App including text, graphics, logos, icons, and software is the property of Time2Pray or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

Mosque data sourced from Google Places API is subject to Google's Terms of Service. Prayer time data from the Aladhan API is subject to their respective terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TIME2PRAY AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Missed prayers due to inaccurate prayer times or iqamah times
• Loss of data or account access
• Errors in mosque listings or contact information
• Service outages or API unavailability

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for a free app, is zero).

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES.

10. Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party services (Google Places, Aladhan, Expo). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.

11. App Store Terms

Your download and use of Time2Pray through Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the applicable app store terms, the app store terms shall prevail with respect to your use of the store itself.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time via the data deletion page or by emailing timetopraysalah@gmail.com.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice or email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
